Sponsor An Ascending Lights Leadership Training Seminar
A powerful way to have direct impact on the lives of many
deserving young leaders and their churches is to sponsor an
Ascending Lights Leadership Training Seminar. These focused
seminars teach participants valuable skills that can immediately
be put to use in youth groups or other social service outreach
ministries. Many of our students report that their ministries,
and even their work places, have greatly benefited from the
materials and training they have received at our seminars.
Seminars employ a small group exercise format. This enables
the participants to thoroughly experience and practice the
skills being taught. Materials are provided that can be duplicated
in other venues. The college level curriculum is prepared
and presented on a "pro bono" basis by a team of
qualified individuals with extensive experience in the fields
of urban ministry and/or the behavioral sciences.
Seminars take place on Saturdays at retreat centers, universities
or scenic locations in the Los Angeles area. Sessions begin
at 10:00 A.M. with a continental breakfast and continue through
lunch. They resume in the afternoon until 4:00 P.M.. Awards
for academic excellence or outstanding achievement in ministry
are presented at the conclusion of each seminar. Our goal
is to provide a combination of spiritual development and practical
training in how to start and lead a church social service
ministry as well as to publicly recognize success in our program.

individual seminar can be sponsored for a gift of $3,200.
Seminar sponsors are invited to attend the event they sponsor
to meet our students and participate in the training. Suggestions
for new seminar topics and referrals to community resources
for training are also welcomed.
